Himalayan-style walkways are suspended footbridges that cross narrow valleys, lakes, rivers and canyons, providing a link between the two banks :

Once routine drilling and earth moving work has been carried out, the studs for anchoring the walkway’s cables are installed on both banks. A network of stays is now added below the structure to support the bridge.
